Virtual Karate is back for a spring season. Karate (martial arts) is a program that started in 2020 and is in partnership with 1World Martial Arts in Austin, Texas. Their knowledge and expertise brings a fun and inclusive program for LoD athletes ages 5 to 22. Classes will be Saturday afternoons via Zoom. No class on April 8 due to the Easter holiday. Registration opens on January 1, 2023!

Registration for spring baseball/ tee ball will begin on January 1, 2023. The season will kick off with Opening Day Ceremonies followed by 8 weeks of games. Tryouts for placement purposes are Saturday, February 4, 2023. All games will be played at Fruitvale Norris Park on Sunday afternoons.

Here's your chance to see Santa! Join us for photos with Santa and then a pancake, egg and sausage breakfast. Tickets are $10 per person (children under 2 are free). 2022 Fitness Program

We have teamed up with A3 Sports Performance to add another program! This fitness program will be 12 weeks on Saturday mornings August 13- October 29 at the A3 complex. The classes are 1 hour long and for all LoD ability levels. Balance, coordination, motor control, strength, endurance, healthy habits and more will be included in the program. Email with questions. NEW 2022 Cheerleading

We are excited to announce we are adding a cheerleading program! Cheer will run on Thursday evenings from August 18- October 6 with a performance on October 15. Uniform fitting will be mandatory and a date is being worked on. Register now! Email or call with questions.
2022 Basketball Season

Basketball is back! Basketball is a fall sport and the season runs Sunday afternoons from September 18- November 6 at RiverLakes Ranch Community Center. Mandatory tryouts for placement are Saturday, August 20 from 8:30am-11am. Athletes must be between the ages of 5 and 22. Registration begins July 1.

Spring Virtual Karate
November 18, 2021
Virtual Karate has been a big hit with our athletes! Register starting January 1st for our next karate session. This program is a 10 week program offered via Zoom in partnership with 1World Martial Arts. Athletes will work on their skills and then test to advance. Gi's and belts are included in the cost. This program is for new and experienced athletes. Cost: $20 Jan. 1-31 $30 Feb. 1- 28
Winter Fencing Program

Register for the 2022 Winter Fencing program in partnership with Kern Athletic Fencing Foundation. The fencing program is 5 weeks on Saturday afternoons from January 8 through February 5, 2022. Registration is $15. Fencing is located at 2030 18th Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301 . It is upstairs and there is no elevator so athletes must be able to enter independently. Registration will close December 30th.

Artists include Granger Smith featuring Earl Dibbles Jr., Bakersfield's own Jim Ranger and local artists Joe Peters and Boones Farm Trio. Tickets are on sale now and start at $50.
